Hello there, Guys and Gals! I feel like it’s been a long time since I’ve able to just sit, relax and write. The month of August has been full of good times, hard work and progression. I’m still trying to wrap my pretty little head around the fact that is already September and I’ll be 33 years old this month( Where did time go?). So let’s get back to the month of August cause I’ve been dying to share how it went. Here’s a recap of August…
1.Make Your Passion Your Paycheck
Do you ever get tired of working for someone else, doing something that you really don’t like but it pays well? I know I definitely do. My significant other and I decided to start not 1 but 2 businesses. Let’s just say, it has been the best decision we have ever made. When you do something you love, it gives off so much positive energy. It also changes the way you view certain situations. Life is short, you don’t get so caught up in making money for someone else or making a living that you forget to actually live.
2. VENI VIDI AMAVI We came. We saw. We loved
I decided to end my summer with a road trip from North Carolina to New Jersey. This was one of the best trips in my life. You learn so much about a person after stuck in the car with them for 9 hours…lol This time gave my significant other a chance to just talk without any distraction. On our road trip, we got a chance to see and tour a lot of places. We saw the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, we took the train from New Jersey to New York and walked from Madison Square Garden all the way to Central Park. While in New York, We rode the Staten Island ferry and saw the Statue of Liberty. We even found time to go to the Casino in Delaware. I told you it was the best road trip ever!
3. Family is not an important thing, It’s Everything
I love my family and it is not very often that I get to see them. This month was the first time that my parents have been able to visit me and spend time since I moved to North Carolina 3 years ago. I also got to see my little brother for the first time in almost 10 years. Having most of my family around me was one of the biggest highlights of the month for me. Never take your friends or your family for granted. They could be here one day and gone the next.
4. New Moon, New Me
On August 21, one of the biggest cosmic events happened in my area. Even though I only got to witness a partial Solar Eclipse and it only lasted for 2 minutes, it’s something that I’ll never forget. According to Astrologist, solar eclipse signifies new beginnings. This is the time for me to put my goals into actions. From this moment on, I’m demanding more of myself and only accepting positive vibes in my life.
The month of August gave me some many reasons to be thankful for what the universe has given me and has in store for me in the future. The lesson I learned in August was to find joy in every aspect of my life.
